About

Engineering mentorship behind the team.

Nexus Robotics Academy is led by Anand Singh, bringing practical embedded systems, robotics, Linux, wireless/IoT, and software engineering experience into student robotics coaching.

Mentor

Led by Anand Singh.

Anand Singh is an embedded systems and robotics mentor with 20+ years of experience building real-world engineering systems.

His background includes embedded firmware, IoT, wireless systems, Linux, robotics, debugging, and practical product engineering.

Anand is also a maintainer/contributor for the Pybricks VS Code plugin, giving students exposure to practical robotics programming workflows.

Engineering background

  • Embedded systems and firmware
  • Wireless, IoT, and connected devices
  • Linux-based engineering systems
  • Robotics programming and debugging workflows
Coaching philosophy

Students learn by engineering, not by watching.

The coaching style is practical: define the problem, build a small solution, test it, debug it, document what changed, and improve.

01

Test with evidence

Students learn to use results instead of guesses.

02

Debug patiently

Failures become part of the engineering process.

03

Explain decisions

Students practice communicating what they built and why.

04

Improve together

The team learns to iterate without blaming or rushing.
